We propose summer houses on the hillside above the sea. The shape and the arrangement of the houses is based on the beautiful sea views. The houses are designed as single-storey, so as not to obstruct the views form the neighbouring properties. The floor of the first house is on the same level as the roof of the second house. Spatially, the house is divided into two parts. The rear part is recessed into the hillside with small windows that does not offer a view of the sea but on the other hand provides cool and calm environment. The bedrooms are located in this part. The front part is open to the view and breeze and shaded by a large roof overhang and a retractable awning. There is a kitchen and a terrace – the place where the users will spend most of the time. The part with the kitchen and furniture can be secured with a sliding glass wall. The edge of the terrace and the garden can be used for sun-bathing. The garden may remain covered by the so called šuma– low wilde vegetation that covers most of the island.
